How do I make a gift to Penn State Hazleton?

Alumni and friends of Penn State Hazleton can provide support in a wide variety of ways. Gifts fall into two categories:  outright or deferred gifts, but of equal importance to us. In any form, your gift to Penn State Hazleton will sustain a tradition of excellence for current and future generations of students, and will provide support for academic programs, teaching and learning at the campus.

You can designate your gift in a number of ways: create an endowed award or scholarship or provide a gift to the campus Annual Fund to support the areas of greatest need.

Following are some of the specific characteristics of gifts:

• Cash, checks or credit
  For many, it is the easiest way to give, and offers a tax deduction for the full amount of the gift in the year it is made. Pledges made over time (up to five years) may also be made. Your company may match your gift with a gift of its own; check with your human resources office about this aspect of giving. Give today and designate your gift to Penn State Hazleton. 
  
  
• Publicly traded stocks or securities
  Much like cash, gifts of stock are tax deductible at full fair market value. The donor is not taxed on long-term capital appreciation. Your broker or tax adviser can be helpful to you in making this kind of gift.
  
  
• Deferred gifts

Online Giving Instructions

Giving to Penn State Hazleton can be done in four easy steps at Giving to Penn State.

1. Fill in page 1 by selecting e-mail for “How you found out about this site” and click “Next.”

2. Complete page 2 by filling in the amount of your gift in the “Total Gift Amount” line.
On the “Please designate my gift to” line, click the drop-down menu and select “Penn State Hazleton.”
On the “Additional Information” line, enter how you would like to designate your gift and click “Next.”

3. Fill in page 3 with your contact information and click “Next.”

4. Fill in page 4 with your payment information and click “Submit Gift.”
