Step 2 - The Application
My Admissions
We recommend future Penn State students apply for admission on-line. To begin, create a My Admissions account, a one-stop shop for customizing your Penn State admissions experience. Through My Admissions, you will be able to apply on-line, print a paper application, receive customized messages and check the status of your application.
Make sure to remember your My Admissions user ID and password.
To begin a new application or review an application entered previously that has not yet been submitted, login to the system by entering a personal login ID and password of your choice in the boxes below. Your application is linked to this login ID and password and can be retrieved at a later time for revision or completion. You will need this same information for Step 3 - Application Status.
MY ADMISSIONS (Apply On-line) -This link will take you to the Undergraduate Admissions Web site where you will need to create an account and remember or write down your information.
PAPER APPLICATION - This link will take you to the Undergraduate Admissions Web site where you may click Order Print Materials on the right to receive a paper application.
The guidance counselor section of the application must be printed out and given to your guidance counselor, who will submit this section with your high school transcript.
The components of a completed application for a First-year Student include:
- Completed application, including $50 application fee
- Official high school transcripts (or GED) with a completed counselor page
- Official SAT or ACT scores
