Campuses are linked to a University-wide network outlining the course requirements and latest information about academic majors throughout the University. This network includes academic advising specialists available at each campus to help students, as well as a full range of print and electronic resources. The campus Advising Center (Lower Level Admin ) can help with your advising and information questions.
Summer FTCAP Information
Once applicants have been accepted to the University and accepted the offer of admission to Penn State Hazleton, they are instructed to complete online placement testing in math, and chemistry. They are then invited to a FTCAP (First Year Consulting and Advising Program) session, usually in the last two weeks in June. This program is the first step in an ongoing "transition from high school" process which includes orientation (late August) and First Year Engagement (fall semester of first year). This entire process - from FTCAP through Orientation and FYE - is seamlessly integrated to help new students be as successful as possible at Penn State.
