Campuses are linked to a University-wide network outlining the course requirements and latest information about academic majors throughout the University. This network includes academic advising specialists available at each campus to help students, as well as a full range of print and electronic resources. Summer NSO (New Student Orientation) Information
Once applicants have been accepted to the University and accepted the offer of admission to Penn State Hazleton, they are instructed to complete take the Educational Planning Survey, http://orientation.psu.edu/survey and the online placement testing in math, and chemistry, http://orientation.psu.edu/testing. They are then invited to a NSO (New Student Orientation) session, usually in the last two weeks in June, http://www.hn.psu.edu/Academics/Advising/31010.htm. This program is the first step in an ongoing "transition from high school" process which includes Welcome Weekend (late August) and First Year Engagement (fall semester of first year). This entire process is seamlessly integrated to help new students be as successful as possible at Penn State.
